I’ve decided I want to start sharing my poetry here. As I continue writing my poetry book I want to share bits and pieces of some of poems with my community. Write new ones as well of course lol. I would love feedback, so I am very open to that. I hope you enjoy <3
Over time it wears. Over time the pain becomes easier to bear. Over time the love fades away. Over time the feelings begin to dissipate. And as time goes on I forget your name, I forget what you meant to me. I forget at one point you were the remedy. I forget the pain you healed from the one who came before. Bet you remember the feeling since you’ve got the chance to explore. You took a dive in my ocean & kept going deep looking for more. When there was nothing left for you to take, you knew it was time for you to come up for air. You left & left me with all to bare. I parted my seas to show you my beauty inside. Like a thief in the night you stole my jewels with much pride. And I don’t blame you for leaving me stranded here, open and vulnerable. I blame myself for giving myself a bottomless cup to pour into.
